New Crowns Make Beautiful Teeth

Dental crowns in Berkley at Borson Dental can save decayed or damaged teeth so they do not need to be extracted

As one gets older, teeth deteriorate due to constant use, cavities, infection and injury. Eventually they must be repaired or replaced. Replacing lost teeth is a critical decision because failure to do so limits your ability to eat and be properly nourished; not to mention that your face will have a sunken look, causing you to look much older than you are. As dental technology has progressed over the last decade, the evolution of the dental crown in Berkley has saved a countless number of teeth that in past years would have been extracted. Crowns completely cover a problem tooth that has been severely weakened by a large cavity to hold it together so it can function and look like a natural tooth. Older crowns from past years were made from porcelain with metal underneath. This caused them to lack the translucency that gives teeth that naturally beautiful appearance. Now newer and stronger types of porcelain make it possible to give you all porcelain crowns that look just like natural teeth. So call for an appointment with Dr. Richard Borson at (248) 398-5050 for a free dental crown consultation. Don’t hesitate when you have an opportunity to save teeth that will soon be lost.

Custom Crowns Fit For A King Or Queen

Come to Borson Dental to get the highest quality and best made dental crowns in Berkley

Having a dental crown created and placed is a simple process that you will find relaxing and comfortable. When you come to our office, one of our dental assistants will take digital x-rays of the existing tooth so that the new crown can be fabricated to perfectly fit the tooth that it will surround as a protective covering. Then Dr. Richard Borson will start repairing the tooth by removing the decayed part, putting in the filling materials and reducing the edges of the tooth to make room in your mouth for the crown. Then he will fashion a mold of your tooth called an “impression.” The impression will then go to our lab to make a hand crafted dental crown. At this first appointment, you will receive a temporary acrylic crown until your permanent crown comes back from the lab. At your next appointment, Dr. Richard Borson will examine your new crown to insure proper fitting and color. He will then remove your temporary crown. Once this task is completed, he will even and clean the surface of the tooth so that it will bond perfectly with your new, porcelain crown. Once the crown is placed, adjusted and cemented, Dr. Richard Borson will give you instructions about caring for your new dental crown in Berkley over the next few days and into the future. When the entire process is completed, you will have a tooth that is stronger and more beautiful than before. During your next scheduled visit, Dr. Richard Borson will examine the new crown for placement and bite so you can be assured that nothing has changed.

"Dental Crowns Make Beautiful Strong Teeth"

Come to Borson Dental for the best dental crowns in Berkley

"When you leave my office with your new dental crown in Berkley, you will have a tooth that is better than ever. It will hold its color and shape more readily than a natural tooth and will be less susceptible to cavities and infection. This does not mean you can ignore maintaining it like your other teeth, it will still require daily brushing and flossing, preferably after meals. Pay attention to any enamel left exposed between the edge of the crown and the gum line. Additionally, make sure you are rinsing with an anti-bacterial mouthwash as part of your normal at-home hygiene routine. Finally, be careful with your new crown not to crunch ice or eat hard candy. Keep in mind that sticky substances like gum and other candies can pull the crown from its moorings. Most important, come in for your six month checkups so I can make sure everything is in order.”
